Discover Chopard at Bright Side
What Is Chopard Eyewear?
Something lovely,
close to you.
Chopard eyewear brings the design spirit of the Swiss watch and jewelry Maison to optical frames and sunglasses, through its partnership with De Rigo.2 Bright Side Optical carries Chopard glasses in Austin, with personal guidance on the frame and lenses that suit you.
There is a particular pleasure in an accessory you use often. You notice its finish when you pick it up. You enjoy the way it catches the light. It becomes part of the small ritual of preparing for your day.
Glasses can have that place in your life. They sit beside your expression, appear in your photographs, and go with you into almost every conversation. We think they deserve the same attention you give to the other pieces you love wearing.
A Watchmaker’s Beginning
A long story.
A playful sense of beauty.
In 1860, Louis-Ulysse Chopard founded his watchmaking business in Sonvilier, Switzerland. He was 24. The early work centered on pocket watches and chronometers.1
It is an appealing place to begin this story: an object carried close to the person who uses it, with beauty and function sharing a very small space.
In 1963, Karl Scheufele III acquired the company. The Scheufele family brought a new chapter to the Maison.1
In 1976, Happy Diamonds introduced loose diamonds moving between sapphire crystals in a watch. In 1988, Chopard became a partner of the historic Mille Miglia car race.1
Those chapters show two sides of its imagination: delight in movement and sparkle, and affection for the world of classic motoring. They help explain why Chopard’s design world can feel both glamorous and sporting.
You can appreciate that story without owning a watch or a piece of jewelry. Eyewear gives you another way to enjoy its character.
Who Makes Chopard Glasses?
A design house.
An eyewear partner.
Chopard’s eyewear is made through a licensed partnership with De Rigo, an eyewear company. De Rigo describes a collaboration spanning more than 20 years and presents both prescription and sunglass ranges.2
That relationship is part of the story of the frames. Chopard contributes its identity and design language; the eyewear partnership brings that world into objects made to be worn on your face.
When we introduce a collection, we want you to understand the actual piece. We look at its construction, finish, proportions, and comfort with you. We confirm the materials and manufacturing origin of your chosen model, rather than treating the Maison’s Swiss history as a manufacturing claim about every frame.
Then comes the most interesting question: how does it look and feel on you?
Ice Cube · Jewelry in the Details
A little light
at the temple.
The Ice Cube sunglasses shown here, reference 95221-0799, have a cat-eye front in bio-based acetate. Their temple decoration draws on Chopard’s geometric jewelry motif and includes crystals.3
The side view is worth lingering over. A dark frame becomes more interesting where the temple meets the front: little geometric forms, a warmer metallic color, and points of light.
We love details like this because they reveal themselves in ordinary moments. Someone notices them as you turn your head. You see them when you fold your glasses. The piece has something to offer from more than one angle.
During styling, we consider the whole effect. Your earrings, hair, coloring, and preferred amount of sparkle can all help us choose the right balance.

Classic Racing · A Sporting Expression
For the person who notices the machinery.
A love of classic cars makes you attentive to lines, surfaces, and small mechanical details. There is pleasure in seeing how the parts come together.
The pictured Classic Racing sunglasses, reference 95217-0822, bring a squared silhouette and matte black finish to that sporting mood. Chopard specifies bio-acetate, a flex hinge, polarized lenses, and carbon-fiber accents in this 703P version.4
Notice the change in material at the temple. The dark front and metal connection give you different things to look at as you turn the frame in your hands. It is a more technical expression of the collection’s attention to detail.
If you gravitate toward a favorite watch, a well-cut jacket, or a purposeful accessory, this is a design direction we can explore with you. These sunglasses illustrate the idea; we help you discover what is available and appropriate for your own pair.
Why Bright Side Carries Chopard
Your everyday glasses can be a pleasure.
We want our collection to give you reasons to become curious. Some frames draw you in through an unexpected shape. Others through color. Chopard offers another invitation: the enjoyment of beautiful finishing and a more dressed-up sense of detail.
Perhaps your wardrobe already has a little polish, and you want your glasses to feel at home in it. Perhaps your current pair feels too plain. Perhaps you have never thought of glasses as an accessory you could love choosing.
We make room for that conversation. We can compare how much presence you want at the brow, how a metal tone works near your skin, and whether a decorative temple feels like a lovely signature for you.
Carrying a collection is only the beginning. Our job is to help you recognize the pair that makes sense for your face and your life. Our stylists receive no individual sales commission, so you have space to explore, ask questions, and decide.
Visit our Chopard brand page, then come discover the collection through Guided Eyewear Styling.
The Complete Pair
Beauty you can see.
Vision planned for you.
Your frame is part of a complete optical decision. We consider its width, bridge, lens dimensions, and position on your face alongside your prescription and daily visual needs.
A frame that looks wonderful in a photograph still needs to work for you. We help you understand the fit and lens possibilities before you commit. For sunglasses, prescription suitability and lens options are assessed for the particular model.
For personalized progressive lenses, Bright Side uses Optikam measurements as part of the fitting process. Frame wrap, back vertex distance, and pantoscopic tilt help inform personalization. Explore why some progressive lenses cost more than others to understand how the frame and lens design work together.
A lovely finish may be what brings a frame to your attention. Thoughtful styling and lens planning help turn that first attraction into a pair you enjoy living in.

What is Chopard eyewear?
Chopard eyewear brings the Swiss luxury Maison’s watch and jewelry design language to optical frames and sunglasses. Its eyewear collection is produced through a licensed partnership with De Rigo.
Who makes Chopard glasses?
Chopard’s eyewear partner is De Rigo. The Maison’s Swiss watchmaking heritage and the production of its licensed eyewear are distinct. Bright Side can confirm the materials and manufacturing origin of the particular frame you choose.
Does Chopard make prescription eyeglasses as well as sunglasses?
Yes. Chopard’s eyewear range includes optical frames and sunglasses. Bright Side assesses whether the specific frame is appropriate for your prescription and desired lens design.
What makes Chopard eyewear distinctive?
Its appeal is in refined shapes, finishes, and decorative details that connect eyewear with the Maison’s wider design world. The effect varies by model: some pieces have jewelry-inspired accents, while others offer a more restrained or sporty presence.
Are the sparkling details on Chopard frames diamonds?
The materials depend on the model. The Ice Cube sunglasses illustrated in this article use crystals. A sparkling accent or gold-colored finish does not establish that a frame contains diamonds or solid gold; we check the specifications of the exact piece.
What are Chopard Ice Cube and Classic Racing sunglasses?
Ice Cube translates a geometric jewelry motif into eyewear details. Classic Racing offers a sportier expression connected to Chopard’s motoring world. This article shows official examples of both; photographs illustrate the designs rather than guarantee local stock.
Can Chopard frames have progressive lenses?
Yes, when the frame is suitable for your prescription, fitting height, and lens design. Bright Side considers the frame’s position on your face and your visual needs. We use Optikam measurements as part of planning personalized progressive lenses.
How much do Chopard glasses cost at Bright Side?
Complete-pair pricing depends on the frame, prescription lenses, and selected options. Contact Bright Side for a current quote. We explain the choices and price before you commit.

Can I explore Chopard eyewear if I am not local to Austin?
If you are not local to Austin, start with a conversation about virtual styling. We determine whether the service is a good fit before moving forward; requesting it does not guarantee an appointment. Austin clients are invited to enjoy in-person Guided Eyewear Styling.
