Bright Side Optical offers premium independent eyewear through virtual eyewear styling with at-home frame try-on. We learn about you, select up to five frames, ship them for you to try, and help you compare them during a one-on-one virtual appointment.
The service is arranged only after a conversation with our team. That gives us time to understand what you are looking for and discuss whether our collection and remote process are a good fit before you commit.

A personal eyewear stylist brings a point of view to the search. We consider the look you want, your features and coloring, physical fit, prescription, and the clothes and settings that make up your life. Then we narrow our independent frame collection into a selection worth comparing.
This can suit someone who wants quiet refinement, expressive color, an interesting shape, or a pair that feels more personal than the usual options. A recognizable logo is optional. A frame you love wearing is the goal.

Before we send frames, we want to understand you.
Tell us what has been missing from your glasses shopping experience. Do you want a more polished everyday pair? Have you struggled with bridge fit? Are you ready for something more distinctive but unsure how far to go? What do you like and dislike about your current glasses?
We will discuss your goals, prescription needs, timing, and the investment you have in mind, along with the styling fee and return terms. We can also explain which questions can be addressed remotely and whether an in-person visit would better serve your needs.
The first step is a request to talk. It is not an instant booking or checkout. After that conversation, we arrange the next steps and send the separate Virtual Styling Intake for your style answers and photos.

A photograph of a frame can catch your attention. Holding the real frame and putting it on gives you more to consider: its presence, proportions, weight, and how it feels.
At home, you can compare it with the jacket you wear to meetings, your favorite jewelry, or the colors you reach for on weekends. During your appointment, your stylist helps you notice whether the frame supports the effect you want.
Remote guidance has limits. A video call cannot replace every hands-on fit check or lens measurement. We discuss those practical needs with you rather than assume every frame and prescription can follow the same process.

What does the $75 virtual styling fee include?
The fee covers review of your Virtual Styling Intake, personal frame curation, shipping up to five frames to try on, a one-on-one virtual appointment, and a return shipping label. Additional frames carry an additional fee, discussed first.
Frames and prescription lenses you choose to purchase are priced separately. The $75 is a styling and shipping fee, not the price of a complete pair of glasses.
A card is securely saved before frames ship. The $75 fee is nonrefundable for a missed appointment or a cancellation or rescheduling within 24 hours. If frames are not returned within seven days of your styling appointment, the card on file will be charged a restocking fee in the full retail amount of the frames shipped.

You try on real eyeglass frames at home. Your stylist helps you compare the options during your virtual appointment, including color, proportion, style, and fit.
How much does virtual eyewear styling cost?
The $75 fee includes intake review, frame curation, shipping up to five frames, a one-on-one virtual styling appointment, and a return shipping label. Frames and lenses you purchase are separate. Any fee for additional frames is discussed in advance.
Is virtual styling the same as the Digital Eyewear Style Guide?
No. Virtual styling includes personal frame curation, real frames shipped for try-on, and a live appointment. The Personalized Digital Eyewear Style Guide provides a frame plan based on your photos and answers that you can take with you when shopping.
Is in-person eyewear styling still free?
Yes. Guided Eyewear Styling at our Austin boutique remains complimentary. The $75 fee applies to virtual styling with shipping and at-home frame try-on.
