Yellow night-driving glasses can change how the road looks without improving how quickly you see a hazard.

Yellow lenses are marketed as a solution for headlight glare and low contrast. The strongest controlled evidence does not show better pedestrian detection or protection from the effects of glare—and every tint removes some light.

Improve clarity without sacrificing light.

Use a current distance prescription, clear lenses, quality anti-reflective treatment, accurate measurements, stable frame fit, and clean lens surfaces. Clean both sides of the windshield and reduce unnecessary dashboard brightness.

If glare or halos are increasing, evaluate dry eye, cataracts, corneal changes, prescription, and other potential causes.
