The Short Answer
Polarization can make a bright course more comfortable by reducing glare from water, wet grass, paths, roofs, and other reflective surfaces. A nonpolarized sport tint leaves more of those reflections visible and may feel more natural to a golfer who uses subtle highlights to judge grass direction or contour.
Neither option wins for everyone. The most reliable decision comes from testing both outdoors on a putting green and checking every screen used during a round.

A generic dark polarized gray lens and a golf-specific polarized contrast lens are not interchangeable. Compare the actual products under the conditions in which they will be worn.
