Polarization does not automatically mean UV protection, and it is not ideal for every task. Certain dashboards, phones, and other screens may look dark or patterned through polarized lenses at some angles.
Choosing a Lens Color
Reduces brightness while keeping color relationships relatively neutral. A versatile choice for strong sun.
Can enhance perceived contrast and depth, making it popular for driving and variable outdoor conditions.
Offers a balanced view with comfortable contrast and less color shift than some warmer tints.
Can be beautiful and useful in specific light, but tint density and UV performance still need to match the intended activity.

Strong prescriptions, progressives, high-wrap frames, and sport designs may need specialized measurements or lens designs. Choose the sunglass frame with the prescription in mind—not after the fact.

Confirm full UVA and UVB protection. Choose tint darkness and color for the conditions where you will wear them. Add polarization when reflected glare is a real problem. Check coverage from the front and sides, bridge stability, temple comfort, and compatibility with your prescription.
